The inaugural Mid Yorkshire Chamber Business Awards celebrating success, resilience and innovation within our membership across the Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield regions.

The past 18 months have been exceptionally challenging for businesses, with uncertainty running rife in our communities.

Each and every business has shown true Yorkshire grit in recent months, and we would like to take this opportunity to recognise those firms and individuals that have gone above and beyond for their business, their team and their community.

We want to hear your story to help share your success and inspire our membership, championing our region as the place to do business!

The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Wednesday 27th April at The Quarry, in Wakefield.

6.30pm Drinks reception and buffet

7.45pm Celebration and Awards.

AWARD CATEGORIES:

MYCC are looking for gold, silver and bronze winners for the below categories.

  • Community Hero Award

This award is for any business or charity that has gone the extra mile to support their community throughout the pandemic. This award is for organisations to nominate themselves.

  • Breaking Free Award

The pandemic has seen many individuals take a leap of faith and go freelance and we are keen to support these individuals on their endeavours. This award is for individuals to nominate themselves.

  • Start-up Success Award

Did you start a successful business within the last year? We want to celebrate fledgling businesses and help to share your story of how and why you decided to launch. This award is for companies to nominate themselves.

  • Innovation Award

The pandemic presented a number of challenges and we want to hear about innovative businesses that have changed or created their strategy, had a creative or resourceful response to Covid-19 or identified new ways of working. If this is you, we would like to hear your story. This award is for companies to nominate themselves.

  • Exemplary Employer Award

This award will recognise the employer that has gone above and beyond to support their team throughout the pandemic. We want to hear about all the incredible ways that business leaders helped protect, motivate and guide their team through the changing circumstances. This award is open for both individuals to nominate their company or for company’s to nominate themselves.

  • Exporter of the year

This award will recognise businesses that have made significant strides in trading outside of the region. Has your business seen significant growth in domestic and overseas sales? Have you forged strong trade links overseas? Have you overcome significant challenges and disruptions following Brexit and the supply chain issues experienced as a result of Covid-19? If so, this is the category for you. This award is for companies to nominate themselves.

  • Chamber Member of the Year

This award will recognise a member that has shown their continued support to the Chamber over the last 12 months. A member cannot apply for this award, the winner will be selected by the Chamber.
