Tidal Recruitment are a brand-new Recruitment Agency based in Wakefield and specialising in the Commercial sector. They may call Wakefield their home, but Tidal’s work in the local area goes far beyond the Yorkshire region to support businesses with all thing’s recruitment.

Kristian Johnson, Director of Tidal Recruitment, founded the Ossett-based company in the summer of 2021 during the pandemic, he felt inspired to fill the labour shortage that had occurred because of many factors, in particular Brexit and Covid-19.

These tough times in the economy cemented Tidal’s ambition to do more for the industry and to show businesses what they are truly about when it comes to supporting with recruitment.

They offer permanent, temporary and contract recruitment covering a variety of sectors ranging from IT and HR to Business Support and Ops – they simply love it.

The team at Tidal’s mission is simple, to offer an honest, effective, and reliable recruitment service.

They pride themselves on digging deep into each business they work with, finding out about their history, culture, and ambition to get the full picture. They look at where their clients are heading to deliver the best possible service, and that’s what sets Tidal apart from the rest.

Tidal’s Director Kristian Johnson’s start up journey working with the AD:VENTURE Business Support Team at Wakefield Council began after he stumbled upon the programme’s information online, he put a call in on the off-chance there was advice out there for him as a start-up business.

What he got however, was so much more! The AD:VENTURE Team at Wakefield delivered  and put him together an amazingly structured plan that set out how they could help him in terms of advice, support, mentoring and direction which streamlined future goals, where his business should be going and not to forget access to financial grants to elevate his business further.

The AD:VENTURE Team supported and challenged Kristian every step of the way throughout his start-up journey. This was achieved by guiding and ensuring he did the very best he could for Tidal, through setting and achieving goals, and acting as a soundboard for inspiration.
