Wakefield BID Celebrates New Office Launch on Wood Street
Wakefield BID has officially opened its new office on Wood Street, marking a significant step in its efforts to support businesses across the city centre.
The launch event on Monday, 14th October, was attended by BID members and key community figures, offering an opportunity to discuss the future of the city centre and learn more about the resources available to local businesses.
The day began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Wakefield’s Mayor, Darren Byford, who praised the continued work of Wakefield BID in revitalising the area. Attendees were welcomed with breakfast refreshments, offering a chance for local business owners to network and explore the new office.
A key feature of the office is a meeting room that BID members can now book free of charge, providing a central space for hosting meetings, workshops, and events. This addition is designed to further support local businesses by giving them access to a dedicated facility in the heart of the city.
Thomas Wales, Chief Executive of Wakefield BID, said: “This office is a place where our members can come together to help shape the future of Wakefield city centre. It reflects our commitment to supporting local businesses and ensuring the city remains vibrant and welcoming for everyone.”
