“For years, Syhiba has built its reputation on delivering unique and memorable dishes that combine traditional South Asian cooking with a modern twist.

“Diners often remark on the depth of flavour, the careful balance of spices, and the vibrant presentation that set Syhiba apart from the competition.

"One of the restaurant’s proudest creations is the now-famous Masti Fish — a dish pioneered at Syhiba and embraced by food lovers across the region.

"Bold, fragrant, and packed with flavour, it has become a signature item that keeps regulars returning and newcomers eager to try something new.”

Mr Keyani said: “This recognition is a testament to our passion for food and to everyone who has supported us along the way. We are proud to represent the city and to showcase what we do best — authentic food made with love.”

Mr Akhtar thanked his head chef, front of house staff and customers.

Syhiba also boasts previous success in the Wakefield Express Curry House of the Year awards, coming third in 2018 and 2019.
