The area will feature tenant spaces, a training and performance centre, and additional teaching space.
The park has hosted global artists, including P!NK, Lady Gaga, Metallica, Cirque Du Soleil, Coldplay and The 1975, and also offers degrees, short courses and bespoke training at its Academy of Live Technology.
In 2024, it was the main production base for the award-winning Netflix show, Adolescence.

“For over 20 years we’ve built an environment and culture that understands the process and value of the stage and screen industries.
“We’ve seen award-winning productions created on this campus, and watched students go on to build international careers.
“We are united in our continued vision to connect world-class innovators, creators and producers in a space that supports incredible work for global audiences.”

Planning permission to expand the site at Production Park in South Kirkby has been approved.
It means the footprint of the site can now increase to nearly 30 acres, so that the park can attract more large-scale stage and screen productions, deliver two new “state-of-the-art” studios, add additional space for supply-chain vendors, and expand its training and education facilities.
The expansion will add more than 70,000-square-feet of commercial space, which the park said will create “new opportunities for collaboration, training and innovation.”
