Milestone reached as retirement apartments complex opens
Housing association, Vico homes, is launching a new retirement living development in Wakefield.
The development, off Stanley Parkway, will feature 58 one and two-bedroom apartments.
Built by Torsion Care, these homes will be exclusively available for people aged 55 and over for retirement living, providing both independence and support.
Merrifield Manor will include electric vehicle charging, facilities for guests and landscaped gardens.
Martyn Shaw, chief executive of Vico Homes, said: “This is an exciting development for us. We’re growing our offer to meet the needs of our customers, giving them the high quality homes they are looking for.
“This marks another milestone in our ambitious growth plans. We’ve worked closely with Torsion Care and value the benefits partnerships like these can provide. We’re investing £300m in new homes and working with others is key to that.”
