WF4 Recovery team up with fds for a series of free finance webinars for local businesses!

WF4Recovery have teamed up with Poonam Kaur, Managing Director of fds for two fantastic Finance webinars that are free of charge for local Businesses taking place towards the end of May!

The past year has been a difficult and testing time for many local businesses across the district who have suffered as a result of the pandemic and national restriction measures, now more than ever is a time for businesses to utilise free support that is available to them in a range of areas including finance!

Why not tune into one of these free finance webinars that will cover the basics for your business?

Poonam Kaur, a qualified Accountant, is the Managing Director of fds Director Services, which has bases in London, Birmingham, and Yorkshire. She is also the Managing Director of Onboarding Officers, which is a unique community designed to develop and hone the skills of exiting military officers to help them become world class Non-Executive Directors.

Poonam is extremely pleased to be contributing to the recovery work and supporting local businesses with expert advice and top financial tips to help them thrive and stay resilient: “Business terminology and language can be difficult to understand. My aim is to provide individuals with the useful but basic knowledge about finance in business. This basic understanding is vital and can be empowering in making key business decisions.”

The series will consist of two webinars taking place via Zoom in the areas of Bookkeeping basics and Financial Statements, financial planning is key for business success as it helps business owners stay in control of key areas of business finance such as; income, expenses and investments – which essentially helps you manage your money and achieve your business goals!

On the 25th May 10am-11am Poonam will kick start the series with the first webinar around Bookkeeping basics! Bookkeeping is important for a business as it helps you budget successfully! It’s a simple way to keep organised through reviewing financial resources and costs…which if no kept on top of can make life extremely hard when it comes to budgeting!

On this webinar businesses will learn;

• The basics of bookkeeping
•  Bookkeeping principles that are required in everyday business operations
• How each transaction may affect the financial position of a business

Lastly, on the 27th May 11am-12pm Poonam will run an additional webinar focused around Financial Statements a vital component for business finance and an excellent indicator of the state of a business’s financial health!

On this webinar businesses will learn;

• Key areas of financial statements such as; profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow
• How to read a set of accounts
• The main things businesses should look out for within a real life setting
