Seal of Excellence for Wakefield Site Manager

15 November 2023

A Redrow site manager is celebrating after winning a Seal of Excellence Award from the National Home Building Council.

James Barraclough, 36, from Wakefield, was given the coveted accolade as part of this year’s Pride in the Job Awards for his work leading the construction team at Redrow’s Poppy Fields development in Rotherham.

Established by the National House Building Council (NHBC), the Pride in the Job Awards celebrate the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality.

Earlier this year, James won his first NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award, the first phase of the annual competition, and was one of just 141 site managers nationwide to receive a ‘Seal of Excellence’ award.

“It was such a great feeling to hear that I had won in the first round and now to win a Seal of Excellence Award – it has made me very proud,” said James, a married father of two.

James, who has worked in a managerial role for the past 10 years, joined Redrow six years ago as an assistant site manager, working on a number of developments in Yorkshire including in Horsforth and Wakefield.
