WDH helps Pontefract mum to grow baby business

24 June 2024

A Pontefract mum is growing her Baby Sensory business after moving into a WDH commercial unit on Ferrybridge High Street.

Karen Bingle, 31, fell in love with Baby Sensory classes after attending them with her own son Ezra. The classes help babies from birth to 13 months learn new skills through their senses. It also helps parents bond with their babies and meet new friends.

Karen started her business two years ago by hosting classes in hired event spaces, which meant she had to set up and pack away her equipment after each class. As demand grew, she needed a new place to call home for her business which is when she enquired about 11-13 High Street in Ferrybridge, a commercial property owned by WDH.

With the support of WDH, the unit has been completely refitted to be the perfect space for Karen’s classes.

Karen said: “I looked at the unit a few years ago when I started out but I wasn’t in a position to take that step yet. I have passed it many times since then and always dreamed about running my business from there. From enquiry to now, WDH has been great to work with. The work on the unit has been high quality and the team has been really responsive."
