About this Event

Market Me

Strategic Marketing Series for New Business

Delivered by BrownDog Agency for AD:VENTURE, MarketMe will help Wakefield-based start-ups and scale-ups who are trading B2B to take their products and services to market more effectively.

Combining interactive and thought-stimulating exercises with real world experience of the marketing mix, the series will take you from a start point of explaining your challenges, to matching your business to changing national and global circumstances, carving out a point of difference for you to take to market, and equipping you with the most effective tactical skills and content with which to acquire new business.

Market Me - Session 4

Marketing Planning - Anticipating and Delivering Customer Wants, Profitably

Why Plan? What should a plan look like? How often should I update it?

How relevant is a 5 or even 3 year plan in today’s fast moving world?

There’s a lot to be said for a short, effective plan that can actually be used on a daily basis, and which can also be adapted when the inevitable changes in circumstances happen.

In this penultimate session, after working through an example together, you will create your own 1 Page Marketing Plan that contains just enough detail to be useful, without wasting time on planning that will never be used and will be out of date the minute it is finished.

The AD:VENTURE programme is supported by the 2014 – 2020 European Regional Development Fund.

The AD:VENTURE programme delivers ERDF funded growth support to existing businesses in their first 3 years of trading and for people planning to start a business within the Leeds City Region.

Market Me – Session 5

Content Marketing - The Mainstay of the Thought Leader

Content Marketing – where to start?

This final session will help you answer the questions people have about your services and build your opening content into bitesize chunks – not chapter and verse…

Working in groups, you’ll match your Tactical Priorities to your content calendar, and from this create an effective plan of quality, relevant content, presented in the most appropriate format for the specific tactic.

Knowing which social media platform is suitable for your business is key to high engagement and generating conversions, so we will also:

• Pick the platforms that perform best in your industry e.g. Pinterest would be great for promoting home interiors but not for an accountancy firm

• Create a schedule that allows for posting content at least 3 times a week

• If you want to run ads, this will help you think about your daily budget and how many people that will reach

• Analyse – show you how to track your progress on the social platforms’ tools and on Google Analytics

Adventure Business Workshop in Wakefield - Personal Brand & Professional Impact

12 December 2019 — 12:00am to 12:00am

Venue: Wakefield Town Hall, Old Restaurant, Wood St, Wakefield, WF1 2HQ

Your Personal Brand & Professional Impact

Every day people assess or make judgements on you, both personally and professionally. From how (and where) you present yourself to how you conduct business, from how you communicate to your content on social media, and indeed much more..... You cannot remove your personal “brand” from your professional world, which is especially true in a new, and/or small business like those on the Ad-venture Programme.

So how do you maximise the impact of your personal brand for the advantage of your business brand? This interactive, impactful session will look at how.

Covering;

-What is your personal “brand”
-How is it built?
-How and where is it presented?
-Influencing your personal “brand” content
-Taking your “brand” into the professional world
-Creating inspiring brand “content”
-Standing out in a competitive world
-Creating a Professional impact

If, as they say, “you are what you eat”, the same can be said for a small business owner when it comes to “you ARE your business”. Can you afford not to understand how to maximise both?

This workshop is being delivered by Nick Bramley from Impactus Group.

The AD:VENTURE programme is supported by the 2014 – 2020 European Regional Development Fund.

The AD:VENTURE programme delivers ERDF funded growth support to existing businesses in their first 3 years of trading and for people planning to start a business within the Leeds City Region.

Wakefield Business Lunch Event by Perfect People Business Networking

17 December 2019 — 12:00am to 12:00am

Venue: Capri At The Vine

Our Wakefield lunch meeting is held at Capri At The Vine just off the M1 and on the outskirts of Wakefield city centre. With it's fantastic transport links and huge car park as well as outstanding decor and food this ready is the perfect venue for networking.

Who attends these events?

Perfect People Business Networking is open to business owners and managers across our region and is suitable for all sizes of business from start-up to large multi-site national organisations.

What happens in the meetings?

Our format is simple and begins with open networking over tea and coffee with the chance for people to chat openly. We then sit around the room, normally at one large table and our group leader will introduce the meeting.

Following this, there is the opportunity for everyone around the table to introduce themselves and their business in a two-minute presentation. These are mostly very informal with people talking in a relaxed manner rather than reading from a script. The main purpose is to find out who you are, what you do and how we can help. Fiona can talk you through this prior to attending if that helps to steady your nerves! You can, of course, speak for less than two minutes if you prefer. Following this, a regular member or guest will present their business in a ten-minute showcase. We will then pass our business cards around the table and stop the formal part of the meeting to share a meal together and enjoy more informal networking.

It’s a friendly and approachable group and everyone who attends WITHOUT EXCEPTION is there to see how they can help YOU to develop your business or your role within a larger organisation.

Why should I attend?

We come to meetings not to make a fast sale or sell ourselves or our services. We come to see how we can help the other people in the room with sales, leads, lead generation, advice, contacts, etc. and as a result of them all helping each other everyone receives that same help and support in return.

We have no contracts to tie you in, no rules about attending on a regular basis and no targets to meet in respect of referrals, testimonials or visitors. Our meetings and our group WORK for every one of our attendees which is why they return to receive support time and time again.

We have a vast number of people who are part of our online community who help each other with referrals, support and advice outside of meetings and this community is open to anyone who attends at least one meeting per month.

Our meetings cost just £20 to attend which includes tea, coffee, water and a choice of delicious food. As always there’s the opportunity to meet like-minded peers for support and those all-important referrals.

When are these meetings?

We meet weekly on a Tuesday from 11am until 1pm, you don't need to attend every event, but we will be here every week growing our businesses with or without you! Don't miss out, book now.
